Summer@Clark is available for students entering grades K-8 in Fall 2024.

Cost

Week 1: $300.00 (4 day week due to Juneteenth)

Week 2-7: $350.00 per week

covering all activities and fees. Extended Care and Tutoring are available for extra fees.


We're happy to share our Summer@Clark schedule for kids entering grades K-8 in Fall 2024. Kids can pick from a range of activities like arts and crafts, outdoor games, hiking, and multimedia. The traditional S@C program runs every day from 9AM-3PM. Each day, kids can choose their activities and there's also optional field trips each week! Some weeks provide a "Specials program" option where kids can participate in a morning or afternoon session (Art, Photography & Music)! When kids are not in a Specials program, they will participate in that respective weeks' themed activities, games and field trip fun!

    Week 1: Media Madness | June 17-21

    Extra Extra! Summer@Clark offers Media Week to kick off the Summer fun! Learn what it takes to create your own podcast while learning methods and practices of media through reporting and journalism. Meet and learn from local professionals in the industry! Bring your creativity and passion to the front pages of the Summer@Clark Tribune as the front pages hit the presses by the end of the week in Newspaper form! Join us for a week of headlines! * No S@C June 19th for Juneteenth.

    Week 2: All Around the World | June 24-28

    Skip the flights! Experience making classic dishes and treats from around the world! Make fun crafts and create traditional pieces of clothing or an outfit from a country of your choice! Participate in fun games and activities from around the world! Learn about a new country's culture and traditions each day of the week! Join us for a global experience this week!

  • Summer Camp Program

    Week 3: Color Wars | July 8-12

    Get ready for bright colors, teamwork and Olympic style challenges as kids strive to earn Bronze, Silver and Gold! Kids this week will be placed in teams and compete against each other in athletic and non-athletic challenges. The color war atmosphere stresses spirit, sportsmanship and camaraderie! Join us this week and let your competitive spirit shine!

  • Summer Camp Program

    Week 4: Mad Scientist | July 15-19

    Time to put on the goggles and have fun with science! From small reactions to big reactions, kids will have the option to learn with colorful and entertaining science experiments throughout the week! See how high your elephant toothpaste will go with the perfect combination of slime and foam! Make a treat using your solar oven creation while understanding the power of the sun! Countdown to blastoff with a launch of water bottle rockets and create crystal formations from scratch (just to name a few)! Join us for a jaw-dropping week of fun!

  • Summer Camp Program

    Week 5: Water World | July 22-26

    This week kids will experience the joys of water fun! From on campus balloon toss games to slip and slides to off campus field trips to local beaches, ponds and paddle boarding adventures; expect a week of wet! Kids will face water challenges through team building games and activities. All crafting activity stations will be inspired by water as kids will figure out how to best manipulate the power of H2O. Join us for a soaking fun time!

    Week 6: Gaming | July 29-August 2

    From retro games to virtual reality, to Dungeons and Dragons and Magic The Gathering, our gaming week introduces popular games of the past and present. Take in our gaming lab for both individual and team challenges and sharpen your strategic abilities! Join us for a leveled up experience!

  • Summer Camp Program Theme

    Week 7: Carnival Week | August 5-9

    Step right up! Participate in making those fair food favorites that you just can't resist while having a taste test or two! Help design and create our carnival attractions and participate in all the local New England traditions that remind you of your favorite local fair. Earn tickets at each activity and save them up for a end of the week shopping spree of trinkets to take home! Come one, come all!

  • Technology at summer at clark school

    Weeks 1, 2, 4, 5 & 7: Technology with JB

    During weeks 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 at Summer@Clark, we are excited to offer daily hands-on technology experiences during ether a 2 hour morning session or a 2 hour afternoon session (grouped by ages)! Students will have the option to participate in Virtual Reality, Drone Flying, Computer Gaming and more!!

    Weeks 2 & 3: Music with Alicia

    Music Enrichment Classes for all ages! Miss Alicia provides fun classes involving instruments, singing, and dancing. This allows students to explore new music and the skills it provides. Miss Alicia has been involved with the community for over 2 years now, and looks forward to bringing her music passion to Summer@Clark! Students that select this option will attend Music Enrichment classes for 2 hours each morning!

    Week 3: Photography with Jeph Ellis

    The Summer at Clark Photography Week is designed to help young photographers at any level improve their skills. Students are required to bring their own digital camera. This can be a phone camera or their own DSLR. iPads or laptops are encouraged for editing so the photographers can store their images and bring them home, though Macs are provided for those that would rather use them Half of the time we will be off campus visiting some of the more picturesque locations on the North Shore such as the Crane Estate, Maudslay Parkland locations along our shores.

    Week 4: Art with Jeph Ellis

    The Summer at Clark Art Week will engage and entertain your young artists. Each day we will be working on a different project to take home. Lessons will include basic drawing skills and color theory as well as how to create thinking out-of-the-box abstract imagery. We will work with two dimensional mediums, like painting and drawing as well as three dimensional ones. All materials will be provided, however should your artist wish to bring their own materials that they love to use, they are welcome to do so as well.

  • Week 7: Magic the Gathering with JB

    Join us for a 2-hour afternoon session each day of strategy as you explore vast and rich worlds! Created in 1993, MAGIC: THE GATHERING is the world’s first trading card game. Players take turns battling one another by casting spells, summoning creatures and using artifacts depicted on individual cards drawn from their personalized decks. This is a highly strategic gameplay that is customizable to any individual’s playstyle!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT)/Counselor Application

To be eligible to submit an application, interested students must be entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2024 or be a high school Graduate to be considered for the Lead Counselor position. *Please note that a submitted application does not result in an automatic hire! Once an application has been received and reviewed, the Director will contact each applicant for a formal interview and will request 2-3 letters of recommendations. *Please also note that an applicant does not automatically shift up to the next level of Counselor from the previous year. The Director will make a final determination of your position once the application/interview process has been completed!

More Information

Summer@Clark is open to students going into grades K-8 in Fall 2024. While this summer program is not open to 8th grade graduates or high school students, we do offer special programs for those age groups. Our Clark Preschool is also open to students who are 2.9 and up but not ready for our S@C program yet.

High School students who are interested in Summer@Clark are encouraged to consider applying to our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program.

Additionally, we will be offering special week-long programs for art, photography and theater! Information about these programs, as well as preschool information, can be found on our website and will be shared through email soon.
