We are searching for a part-time Theater Teacher whose responsibilities may include teaching students in grades 7-12. Subjects in our curriculum may include Acting, Drama, and Performing Arts Workshops at the college preparatory level. The ideal candidate will be able to provide meaningful and creative instruction to a diverse group of students in a hands-on, experiential learning environment. The ability to provide lessons using differentiated instruction and to work collaboratively with the Technical Theater Director and classes is a must. The candidate must be flexible and enjoy teaching, and may also be asked to teach an elective. This position reports to the Team Leads.
Qualified Applicants:
Have earned a Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field and have experience teaching theater to students in grades 7-12
Have a strong knowledge base in the curriculum subjects to be taught
A minimum of three years successful experience with the specified age groups
Duties and Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
Manage annual DramaFest Mini-Course, as well as competition for high school and middle school METG entries
Arrange and direct dramatic, musical, instrumental, and choral performances as coursework and through afterschool or weekend clubs
Provide meaningful and creative instruction to a diverse group of students in a hands-on, experiential learning environment
Ability to adapt curriculum to the needs of students and to accommodate circumstances where a variety of projects are being worked on simultaneously
Significant use of technology while delivering the curriculum and content, including (but not limited to):
Use of the Google Suite across multiple devices
Use of Student Information System (Alma)
Respect and value individual differences and diversity; model non-discriminatory practices in all activities
Evaluate academic and social growth of students and keep appropriate records while communicating with students and parents on student progress
Maintain standards of student behavior for a positive and productive learning environment
Collaborate with peers to develop curriculum, plan activities, and monitor student progress
Work with a team of educators to create a positive learning environment
Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work with other content area teachers to maintain and order materials
Flexibility in all areas including (but not limited to):
Content delivery methods
Assessment methods
Coursework requirements as applied to individual students on a case by case basis
Working with other teachers to provide curriculum connections appropriate for both grade level and ability level.
Specific Training/Skills:
Google Level 1 Educator certification may be required
Teachers may also be asked to teach an elective, to cover study halls or to advise senior internships, in addition to other after school academic requirements. This role may offer the opportunity to lead or take part in enrichment classes, after school activities and/or summer camp, as available and desired.
Attendance: Continual employment is subject to consistent attendance. Consistent attendance is essential to the safety as well as the mission of this educational environment. Inability to maintain consistent employment attendance may result in separation or termination.
A Massachusetts teaching certificate is a plus, but not required. All employees are subject to a fingerprint check and a background investigation, per state law.

We are searching for a reliable, caring person for a part-time, split-shift position transporting our students to and from school. Up to 20 hours per week during a typical school week; we pay on allocated holidays and snow days. Position begins as soon as possible, and is contracted through the end of the school year.
Qualified Applicants:A valid Class-D driver’s license for the last three years with a satisfactory driving record
Be at least 21 years of age
Professional driving experience
Duties and Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
Pick up students from each of three bus stops every morning and reverse the route in the afternoon every weekday when school is in session.
Routine upkeep of School vehicles; including but not limited to refueling, basic operational checks, and maintaining interior cleanliness.
Communicate clearly with School administrators to facilitate timely pick-ups and drop-offs and to manage students in the vehicle.
Be sensitive to the needs of people, especially students and their parents, and show a pleasant disposition to all people in all situations.
Adhere to all policies and procedures listed in the School’s Employee Handbook.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to pass a CORI and fingerprint check
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and vision examination, which includes drug and alcohol testing
Fluency in English and be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to the philosophy and goals of the School
Patience and display willingness to work with students and their parents
Possess and utilize skills in the areas of leadership, crisis management, organization, and verbal communication
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Specific Training/Skills:
Knowledge of State and Federal driving rules and regulations
Working conditions for this position may include regularly being required to stand; walk; drive; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to quickly adjust vision.
